Mittens was a little kitten. She was very curious and loved to explore. One day, she wandered away from her home and got lost. She meowed and meowed, but nobody came to help her. Just when Mittens was about to give up hope, she saw a kind girl walking by. The girl picked up Mittens and took her home. She gave Mittens some milk and cuddled her until she fell asleep. When Mittens woke up, she was back in her own home. She was so happy to be reunited with her family. From that day on, she never wandered away from home again.

Grandma’s Volcano Story Vika loved asking Grandma questions. Grandma always had great answers! “Grandma, how did the volcano get there?” Vika asked. Grandma smiled. “The Earth has big rocks under the ground. These rocks move, like boats on water. When two rocks crash together, hot liquid called magma comes up. This makes a volcano!” Vika thought about boats bumping—Splash! She could see it in her mind. “When a volcano erupts, hot lava comes out,” Grandma said. “Smoke, rocks, and ash fly in the air. That is why we must be careful.” Vika looked at the volcano near her village. Sometimes she saw smoke. “When the volcano erupts, the hot gas and lava push through a hole on top. This hole is called a crater,” Grandma explained. Vika listened. Grandma was very good at explaining things! “Did you see a volcano erupt, Grandma?” Vika asked. “Yes,” Grandma said. “When I was little, the volcano near our village erupted.” “What did you do?” Vika asked. “We stayed inside and closed all the windows and doors. Then, our village leader told us to move to a safe place.” Vika imagined Grandma walking to a safe village. She looked at the volcano. It was quiet today, but if it started smoking, she would listen to Grandma!

Adi suka membaca buku tentang angkasa lepas. Suatu malam, sebuah kapal angkasa ajaib muncul di halaman rumahnya. Dari kapal itu keluar makhluk comel bernama Zoro. "Hai, Adi! Jom ikut saya terokai Sistem Suria!" kata Zoro. Adi teruja dan segera menaiki kapal bersama Zoro. Pengembaraan mereka pun bermula! Muka Surat 2: Matahari dan Merkuri Zoro menunjukkan Matahari yang sangat besar dan terang. "Matahari ialah pusat Sistem Suria. Ia adalah bintang yang memberi cahaya dan haba," kata Zoro. Mereka terus ke Merkuri, planet paling dekat dengan Matahari. Adi melihat permukaannya yang berbatu. "Merkuri sangat panas pada siang hari tetapi sangat sejuk pada waktu malam!" jelas Zoro. Muka Surat 3: Zuhrah dan Bumi Kemudian, mereka tiba di Zuhrah, planet paling panas. "Gas di Zuhrah memerangkap haba, sebab itu ia sangat panas," kata Zoro. Selepas itu, mereka singgah di Bumi, rumah Adi. "Bumi ialah planet yang sempurna untuk kehidupan kerana ada air dan udara," kata Zoro. Adi tersenyum bangga melihat planetnya yang indah. Muka Surat 4: Marikh dan Planet Luar Kapal angkasa terbang ke Marikh, planet merah. "Tanah Marikh mengandungi besi yang berkarat. Itu sebabnya ia berwarna merah," kata Zoro. Mereka juga melihat Musytari, planet terbesar, dan Zuhal dengan cincin-cincinnya yang cantik. Muka Surat 5: Tamat Pengembaraan Akhirnya, mereka tiba di Uranus dan Neptun, planet paling jauh dan sangat sejuk. "Planet ini jauh dari Matahari, jadi suhunya sangat rendah," jelas Zoro. Adi berterima kasih kepada Zoro kerana membawa dia mengembara. "Sistem Suria memang luar biasa! Saya akan ceritakan kepada semua rakan saya," kata Adi sambil melambai selamat tinggal.

Eran en realidad los hijos de los superhéroes adultos. Mateo estaba feliz, les mostró su bici y le contó de su jardín y sus amigos. Los niños superhéroes escuchaban atentos. De repente les llegó una misión: había un gatito atrapado en un árbol. Era hora de actuar! Y como Mateo estaba justo con ellos, le pidieron que los ayude. Entre todos lograron rescatar al pobre gatito y devolverlo a su dueña, que estaba muy agradecida. De repente Mateo se despertó, se dio cuenta que todo había sido un sueño. Pero en el piso vio un poco de “telaraña” que era de Spiderman. Sonrió.

The children want to start collecting plastic bottle tops to recycle with Lids4Kids. They meet a nice volunteer who will drive their lids to Canberra for them. Then they send a letter home to their families and ask them to collect plastic bottle tops from milk bottles, pop bottles and water bottles. The children enjoy washing the lids in warm soapy water with their family (and pet dog). Next week all the children bring in a bag of lids each. Together they group the lids into colour groups. The nice volunteer pick them up and takes them to Lids4Kids in Canberra. The lids are then turned into a rainbow colored park bench. The teacher surprises the children by buying the rainbow park bench for their playground.

Kiki is a 10 year old girl with long dark hair and she is scared of the water. She goes to the ocean with her family and changes into her one-piece bathing suit. Her brother and sister get in the water and start having fun. Kiki is too scared to get in the water. Her dad tells her that he will help her learn. She says okay. Kiki gets in the ocean with her dad. He teaches her to swim. Kiki starts swimming all by herself. Kiki plays with her brother and sister. Kiki learns how to swim and has a fun day.
