John Jr noticed Vasi carried a special magic wand. John Jr was curious and wanted to know more about Vasi wand. 3. Vasi git his hand for his 5th Birthday from his grandpa. Vasi didn't realize that the wand was magical until he was almost 10. He said he stumbled upon it. He has learned the wand direct energy at a person or object for healing or the wand can change into other items, grow, vanish, or move. 3. Vasi did a trick where flowers started shooting out of the wand. Vasi then placed the wand on John Jr's blue shirt and then changed the shirt to green. John Jr was very impressed. 4. John Jr and Vasi went on a hike at the park. Vasi told John Jr the types of trees and flowers that they saw. Vasi showed John Jr a shortcut back to the playground. 5. John Jr played on the teeter toter together and then played on the slide. They had a blast together and became best friends. 6. Vasi seemed very wise and taught John Jr some safety tips while playing. It was dinner time and John Jr invited Vasi to join him. Vasi accepted John Jr invitation and they walked home together.

He hugs me tight and wipes my tears. “You’re the best,” I say, feeling okay. Monkey makes the clouds go away. Page 7 At night, we look at the stars so far. “Do you think there’s a Monkey Star?” Monkey tilts his head just so, As if to say, “Of course, you know!” Page 8 I tell him secrets, big and small. “Do you love me, Monkey, most of all?” He hugs me close and holds me tight, Filling my heart with love and light. Page 9 “Monkey’s not real,” Mommy might say. But I know better—he’s real my way. She smiles and tucks us safe in bed. “You’re lucky to have him,” she said. Page 10 As I dream, we swing and soar, Through jungles, seas, and so much more. “I love you, Monkey,” I softly coo. And in his hug, I feel it, too. Page 11 Morning comes, soft and bright, Monkey’s here—my heart feels light. Page 12 With a hug, we start the day, Best friends forever, come what may.

I was born in this historically and culturally rich hometown of Lung Yeuk Tau, but I grew up abroad. Every time I return here, it feels like stepping into a world where time has reversed. Every brick and tile here tells a story of the past. The old walled village, situated on the mountainside, stands with its majestic blue brick walls, seemingly narrating tales of repelling pirates. The steps in front of the village gate are cleverly designed as a defensive position, making it difficult for enemies to attack. The small holes and high platforms on the walls were used to monitor outside movements, ensuring the villagers' safety. Such intelligent architectural designs leave me in awe of my ancestors' wisdom. Passing through the ancient gate, I see orderly houses with winding paths paved with blue stones. Not far away, the grand ancestral hall—Song Ling Tang Gong Hall—showcases our family's long history. The exquisite wood carvings and murals inside the hall reflect our family’s glory and traditions. Beside the ancestral hall stands the Tin Hau Temple, with its red walls and yellow tiles radiating a sacred atmosphere. The ancient bronze bell inside tells of countless pious wishes, as if feeling the divine protection. The surrounding statues of the Earth God and the Goddess of Heaven further immerse me in the rich local beliefs. When I step into other walled villages like Dong Ge and Wing Ning, I can still sense the vigor of their long history. Although many walls are now damaged, I can still imagine the tense scenes of repelling pirates. The altars and other structures make me feel the sincere hopes of my ancestors for wealth and success. As I stroll through this culturally rich land, I can almost feel the footsteps of my ancestors and the vitality of this home. No matter where I go, my roots will always be here—in Lung Yeuk Tau.

He put on a really cool costume, and he became...Joshua the Magnificent! As Joshua the Magnificent, he went around his small town, helping others with whatever they needed. He continues living and to be an inspiration and a beacon of hope to all, especially to other little children. From him, they learned not to be defined by the limitations that others had put on them, and that they too, could have the heart of a lion, and could accomplish wonders.
