Z'Rica lived with her mom, little sister, and baby sister. They didn't have a home, so the car was their house. The back seat was Z'Rica's bedroom, and she kept her few belongings in a suitcase. The Line Fire is a large active wildfire in San Bernardino County, Southern California. The fire began on September 5 near the community of Highland and spread into the San Bernardino National Forest. The fire has forced the evacuation of multiple communities. On September 10, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department identified and arrested 34-year-old Justin Wayne Halstenberg, a resident of Norco, on suspicion of starting the fire on September 5. As of October 8, 2024, the Line Fire has burned 43,978 acres (17,797 hectares) and is 87 percent contained. The cause of the fire is believed to be arson.[3] It began during a multiple-day heatwave in Southern California. Downtown Los Angeles reached 112 °F (44 °C), the third time that temperature had been reached since 1877. The Line Fire has led to mandatory evacuation orders for more than 500 homes. Initial evacuation warnings were issued for neighborhoods in East Highland in the early morning of September 6, 2024. By September 7, 2024, evacuation orders would be placed for neighborhoods along the foothills, extending into San Bernardino, and for neighborhoods east of Calle Del Rio. Over the following days the mountain communities of Green Valley Lake, Cedar Glen, Lake Arrowhead, Crestline, Valley of Enchantment, and Big Bear Valley were placed under evacuation warnings. Mandatory evacuation orders were issued for Running Springs, Arrowbear Lake, Angelus Oaks, Seven Oaks, Forest Falls, and Mountain Home Village.

[Matthew 21:12 describes Jesus observing this.] Page 9: Jesus was upset. He overturned tables, saying, "This is my Father's house, a house of prayer! Not for buying and selling!" Page 2 They got on the bus, excitedly looking at the view outside. The tour guide told them that there is a mountain shaped like a dragon jumping! Page 3 When they arrived at Lung Yeuk Tau, Xiaoming and Xiaohua first visited the old village called Lo Wai. The tall walls and narrow gate made them feel curious. Page 4 The guide told them stories about Lo Wai. In the past, villagers built these defenses to protect against pirates, making them feel very safe. Page 5 Next, they went to the Tin Hau Temple. Inside the temple were beautiful statues, and there were two ancient bronze bells used for praying for safety. Page 6 Xiaohua was especially interested in the stories about the Tin Hau Temple. She learned that villagers would take the statues out to parade during Tin Hau's birthday. Page 7 Finally, they visited the Songling Tang Kung Ancestral Hall. Xiaoming was amazed by the architecture and heard the touching story of Tang Songling. Page 8 At the end of the trip, Xiaoming and Xiaohua felt that this journey was very special. They hoped to come back to Lung Yeuk Tau one day to explore more stories!

He grabs curtains, towels, and shiny toys. His room turns into a colorful mess, but Duda doesn’t mind. He’s focused on creating his special costume. After finishing, he looks at himself in the mirror. He smiles proudly at his work. Excited, Duda runs to show his mom. She looks at him, surprised but proud. She smiles and hugs him, telling him how great his costume is. Duda feels proud and happy. His mom, seeing how excited he is, says, “Let’s go to the parade!” They leave the house and walk down the street. Duda looks around at the colorful decorations and listens to the music. When they reach the parade, Duda is amazed. He sees a dancer on a truck, surrounded by people in costumes. Duda asks his mom about the dancer, and she explains with a smile. Duda wants to dance too. His mom laughs and says, “Let’s join the fun!” They dance together in the crowd, spinning and laughing. Duda is happy to be part of the celebration. The day ends with confetti flying and music playing, and Duda and his mom smile, enjoying their special moment together.
