Attention issues, prior knowledge, and memory decay all interfere with the actual memories that are stored. There are so many different parts to our memory that all work separately and together to help us experience and remember life. A Children's Storybook Page 1 A long time ago in Israel, there was a kind woman named Hannah. She loved God very much, but she was sad because she had no children. Every year, she went to the temple to pray. Page 2 One day, with tears in her eyes, Hannah prayed, “Lord, if You give me a son, I will give him back to You to serve You all his life.” Page 3 The priest, Eli, saw Hannah praying and said, “May God grant your request.” Hannah believed in God’s promise and left the temple full of hope. Page 4 God answered Hannah’s prayer! She gave birth to a baby boy and named him Samuel, which means “God has heard.” She loved him dearly. Page 5 When Samuel was old enough, Hannah kept her promise. She brought him to the temple and said to Eli, “God has blessed me with a son, and now I give him back to serve the Lord.” Page 6 Samuel grew up in the temple, learning from Eli. One night, he heard a voice calling, “Samuel! Samuel!” He thought Eli was calling him, but Eli said, “I did not call you. Go back to sleep.” Page 7 The voice called again, and again Samuel ran to Eli. But Eli realized it was God speaking to Samuel! He told Samuel, “Say, ‘Speak, Lord, for Your servant is listening.’” Page 8 Samuel listened, and God spoke to him. From that night on, Samuel became a great prophet, guiding Israel and teaching them to follow God. Page 9 Hannah’s faith and promise led to Samuel becoming one of the greatest leaders of Israel. Nazut was happy to play with John Jr. They played all the way up to dinnertime. They played hide n seek, football and danced to some funky tunes. 3. John Jr asked Nazut if he wanted to eat dinner with him and his family. Nazut was delighted to and they went in to eat. During dinner Nazut told John Jr and his family about an evil witch that destroyed his family. John Jr said Nazut could be part of his family. Nazut slept in same room as John Jr. 4. John Jr and Nazut did almost everything together. They were like very close brothers. Nazut promised to keep John Jr safe. 5. John Jr introduced Nazut to his friends. John Jr's friends was envious of him and wished they could have a dragon as well. 6. John Jr and Nazut grew up together and had a deep loving bond between them.
